It is helpful to make notes about what you do and don’t like. When you are ready, fill out the Quilt Questionnaire to help begin the discussion.

If you have a specific quilt pattern you’d like used or have pictures of quilts you like, Legacy Quilts can work with your ideas.  We will offer suggestions based on your fabrics and our expertise.  Once the possibilities have been narrowed, Legacy Quilts can offer a proposal of ‘virtually’ designed quilt ideas with pricing for your consideration and approval.

How much do quilts cost?

There are a number of variables factored into the final price of a custom/memory quilt.  Legacy’s offerings are priced using a formula based on the finished quilt size and difficulty of the design, but might also include costs for unique fabric/materials preparations and number and size of images (if any).   General pricing for all of Legacy Quilts’ offerings can be found in our Price Guide.

Once a design is mutually agreed upon by the client and Legacy Quilts, an official Quote/ Quilt Agreement is sent for signature.  When endorsed, this price is binding through quilt completion.

I live across the country. Is it difficult to collaborate on quilts from so far away?

Not at all!  Legacy Quilts is easy to work with no matter where you live - we’ve even worked internationally. We rely on the internet, phone and email conversations, fax and ground mail to effectively communicate and meet your needs.  We want you to have a positive experience with Legacy Quilts while helping create a timeless memory quilt of your own.  Your input is always welcome and you can be as involved in the quilt design process as you’d like to be. Learn more by visiting our Custom Quilt Journey  page.

How long will it take to complete my quilt?

Allow at least 8 weeks for completion and delivery after your contract is signed and the deposit is received.  Expedited orders will be charged an additional 20%. 

Some seasons of the year are very busy (Christmas and Spring, in particular.)  Expect longer lead times during those seasons (as much as 3-4 months) and plan to order early.  If you need a gift immediately, you might consider ordering a Legacy Quilts Gift Certificate for immediate delivery.  Please Contact Us directly for details. 

Can I place my order on-line?

Yes and no.  Because of the highly personalized nature of these quilts, Legacy Quilts works closely with clients to ensure that we achieve the vision you hold for your quilt.  To begin the process please fill out our Quilt Questionnaire on-line. 

From there, one of our quilt consultants will contact you to insure that we create the quilt best fits your needs. 

My fabrics/items are special. How does Legacy Quilts minimize my worries?

We know your fabrics and items are important to you, so we want you to to be as comfortable as possible during your entire Legacy Quilts experience.  We use tracking on every shipment, and we email you at every stage, from the safe arrival of your materials to the delivery of your finished quilt. 

We welcome your input and feedback throughout the process, so if you ever have a question or worry, please don't hesitate to ask!  We'll do our best to make you comforatble every step of the way.

Does Legacy Quilts offer any sort of guarantee?

Although our creative process is designed to ensure your satisfaction with your finished quilt, there are no refunds or returns on custom quilts.  Reasonable repairs will be made to any faulty items within 30 days after receipt by the client.
